How to Make the Most of #PM19

We’re so thrilled that Podcast Movement is finally upon us! It’s the largest conference in the industry, so if you’re feeling overwhelmed… you’re not alone. Some of our leadership team took a few minutes to share the events they’re looking forward to the most, and gave some advice on how to get the most out of this podcast-packed week in Orlando!

Francesco Baschieri, President 

Session or event you’re most excited to attend? During Podcast Movement, I spend a lot of time in meetings outside of the conference sessions, so I always look forward to creating new partnerships and investing time in those conversations. Aside from that, I’m most excited about the evening parties… it’s a blast to connect with other people in the industry.

Advice you would give an attendee on making the most of the conference? I would just remind them of how unique it is to have, quite literally, everyone from the industry in the same room. Take advantage of meeting the people you’re there to meet, and keep your ears open to gain perspective on where the industry is heading for the next 12 months.


Jonathan Zenti, Head of Content

Session or event you’re most excited to attend? Since I’ve spent a lot of time planning them, I’m so curious to see how our Live Stage panels will go… I’m really looking forward to seeing and hearing the reactions/feedback from the audience. I’m also looking forward for the PRX Google Creator Program showcase. Since Voxnest was a partner in the program, I had the chance to be one of the coaches, and I’m eager to see how the shows have grown in the last six months.

What are you looking forward to the most? I’m looking forward to seeing some of my radio friends that I don’t see as often as I would like, and I really hope I’ll have the time to mingle a bit with them. I’ll also be keeping my eyes peeled to see if there are any hidden talents looking for a production “family” who could use the support of our team.


Tonia Maffeo, Head of Marketing

Session or event you’re most excited to attend? Every year there are so many sessions that I find interesting and beneficial. So, while it’s hard to narrow them down, I’m really looking forward to attending “The Evolution of Podcast Advertising” and “Podcaster Imposter Syndrome: Finding Your Voice in a Male Dominated Industry.”

What are you looking forward to the most? I can’t wait to see how our “Goldfish Tank” Live Stage session pans out! I’m excited to see the creativity that the podcasters will bring and the advice that our panel of producers will share with them.


Mattia Verzella, Head of Strategic Partnerships 

Session or event you’re most excited to attend? I’m excited to attend the Stitcher and iHeartRadio parties, and while there are too many to single out a few just yet, I’ll be on the hunt for sessions that discuss monetization and strategies about generating revenues for small and large publishers. Plus, I’ll be looking for sessions with topics that are new, inspiring and forward looking.

I’m also looking forward to meeting and talking with current and future clients to learn about what they need and what we can do to make their life easier/more fun while podcasting. I’m also anticipating the chance to connect with other companies and lay the ground for potential partnerships.

Any advice you would give an attendee on making the most of the conference? Don’t be shy, TALK TO EVERYONE!

We might be a little biased, but our final piece of advice is to attend some of the amazing
sessions we’re hosting on Live Stage! Jonathan put a lot of energy into planning sessions that will spark meaningful and interesting conversation. We hope to see you there!
